Eric, a fifty-year-old African Grey parrot is quite content with life. Bill, his owner, makes sure there are always plenty of seeds in his bowl, (with fresh fruit every Thursday), the t.v. is turned on at precisely three o’clock so that Eric can watch his favourite show, As the Scalpel Cuts, and the paper lining his cage is changed daily. Yes, all is indeed grand until Salvador shows up and occupies a cage next to Eric. Salvador, a Green Amazon, is not at all happy about being kept in captivity and wants to fly the coop as soon as possible. Tempers flare and fur…that is feathers fly in this comedy about two definitely not birds of a feather. Note for younger audiences: except for a few parrot expressions, there will be no fowl language.
